Wood Window Restoration Scope of Work

 

Interior and exterior window restoration

  • Remove windows and delivery to our work shop.
  • Remove glazing and existing glass
  • Strip paint and/or stain the windows interior and exterior.
  • Repair lock bites, loose and rotted joint.
  • Sand and patch all surfaces to prep for painting.
  • Re-install your original glass and glaze exterior.
  • Install new restoration or plate glass per customers request
  • Paint and/or stain the interior and paint exterior using 1 coat of primer and 2 coats of finish paint.
  • Add bulb gasket weather-stripping to each bottom sash window.
  • Clean interior and exterior glass before deliver to site.
  • Deliver and re-install windows.

*Exterior window restoration only
For those windows where the interior window is in good shape but the exterior needs a little TLC:

  • Remove windows and delivery to our work shop.
  • Remove loose and or all glazing.
  • Strip exterior paint.
  • Repair rotted joints and any large imperfections.
  • Sand and patch exterior surface to prep for painting.
  • Paint exterior using 1 coat of primer and 2 coats of finish paint.
  • Clean interior and exterior glass before deliver to site.
  • Deliver and re-install windows.

Auburndale, MA. This wonderful and quaint brick Tudor home built in 1928.

Salem, MA. Built circa 1859 on historic Federal Street in the McIntire District.
