We recently had some work done on our windows by David Liberty and had a great experience. He restored three original (1940) double-hung windows to perfect working order with chains and counterweights. We can now open and close these windows with two fingers instead of struggling to raise and lower them and watching them move around of their own accord at times.
He also commissioned and installed two new window sashes made with high-quality cedar that also work perfectly again with chains and counterweights. These replaced two failed replacement window that were again a struggle to operate. He also replaced all of our storm windows with beautiful and draft-proof storms.
We are very happy with his work. Dave and his colleague Sakura (sp?) do high quality work, show up when promise, are efficient, and leave your house neat and clean. Details at windowrepair.com.

Many of them had broken strings, cracked glass and leaked terribly - sending cold air into the house all winter.
